Jiří Bystřický is founder and director of the Institute for Electronic Semiotics and Culture at the faculty of letters at the Charles University in Prague (FHS UK). He studied philosophy and sociology. Main areas of research: postmodernism, philosophy of media, philosophy of art, sociology, media theory and political science.
