Lizzie Calligas
Lizzie Calligas was born in 1943 in Athens, Greece. She studied in the School of Fine Arts in Athens (1975-80) and at the New York Studio School (2000). She started on her career as a photographer in 1986 and taught experimental photography in AKTO art school, in Athens for a few years. She was awarded the “Golden Pharos” at the Alexandria Biennale 2005 for her works “Swimmers”. Her work is held in museums and private collections across Greece:
